Pisces Suns, Risings + 12th House Suns and the Struggle of “Being a Person”

It’s hard for Pisces suns, risings and 12th house suns to just “be a person.”

What is the sun? The sun is our ego, our vitality, our will-force.

And the planetary ruler of Pisces and the 12th house is Neptune. Neptune, amongst other things is confusion, fantasy, nebulousness, disillusionment.

As a result, Pisces suns can experience a lot of confusion around who they are early on in life. They may think they’ve figured out who they’re supposed to be, only to have that identity slip through their fingers like sand.

They can be confused by the psychic impressions they receive and not trust their intuition. Being so spiritually-oriented, they can have a hard time with the coarseness of our physical world.

They may hold on tightly to coping mechanisms in the form of escapism through substance abuse, too much phone time, escapism disguised as “self-care.”

There’s an act of surrender that Piscean types need to go through oftentimes multiple times throughout their lives—surrendering to life in the material realm, surrendering to their own life circumstances, surrendering to God, the universe, their higher selves, however you want to put it.

Surrendering to the fact that their talents are needed in this world, and it’s time to stop running and face the world—It’s only then that they can be of service to others through their profound abilities of empathy, compassion, understanding, and their innate knowing that we are all connected (we are all One).

In traditional rulership, Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, so Jupiter is the co-ruler of Pisces. This makes Pisceans quite attuned to belief systems, whether that’s a particular religion, a moral code, or spiritual practices that they implement into their daily lives. These practices can help ground them, so that they can utilize their empathetic and intuitive capabilities in this world rather than seek to escape them.

You, Pisces, have 1 foot in this world and 1 foot on the other side—and your job is to find ways to ground yourself so that you can properly be of service to others through your other worldly abilities. Because you’re here for a reason, and you’re very much needed!
